Bellevue Dental Implants

Dental Implants in Bellevue

Dental implants are an excellent solution for missing teeth. And, Dr. Don Jayne is Bellevue’s choice for excellent dental implants.

If you’re living without one or more teeth you may have trouble chewing your food or feel apprehensive about smiling.  You may even avoid being with others in social settings and taking pictures that capture wonderful memories.

You don’t have to be uncomfortable or self-conscious anymore. Dental implants look, feel, and function just like natural teeth.

To create your dental implant treatment plan, Dr. Don Jayne meets with you. He reviews your records with you, discusses your options, and presents a timeline for care. Together, you and Dr. Jayne decide the best approach for you.

Types of Dental Implants

There are two types of dental implants we could recommend to our Bellevue Dentist patients, depending on your conversation with Dr. Jayne and your dental health history, as well as what you’re comfortable with. We want you to be satisfied and feel secure in your smile, while also being confident in your decision to have dental implants. With that, let’s go over your options for implants:

Endosteal dental implants
This is the most common type of implant chosen by patients. Each dental implant holds one or more of the prosthetic teeth by screws placed during surgery. It’s a potential alternative for people who have bridges or removable dentures as it gives more permanence to your smile.

Subperiosteal dental implants
This type of dental implant is placed on top of the jaw, using a metal framework that will hold your implant in place. Patients who choose this kind of implant usually are unable to wear traditional dentures and cannot have the endosteal dental implant procedure.

We mentioned earlier that Dr. Jayne will have a conversation with you about the possible treatment plans we perform here at Bellevue. Part of talking with you is to discuss any concerns you may have, any oral health conditions you’re dealing with, and the type of implant you’ve chosen, as well as how it can be impacted by any dental conditions. Having this conversation helps us tailor your treatment plan to your preferences, comfort, and health.

Some of the possible treatment plans to enhance your smile include:

Single Tooth Dental Implant

This treatment plan is best for people missing a single tooth.

Full Mouth Dental Implants

If you’re missing all of your teeth, this is a great treatment to fully restore your smile with a full set of teeth.

Multiple Tooth Dental Implants

If you’ve lost more than one tooth, this treatment plan can replace what’s missing and give you back the smile you once had.

Ridge Modification

This treatment is a good example of why we discuss any dental conditions you have. Sometimes people don’t have enough bone for dental implants, so we correct that issue by filling where the bone is missing with a substitute. This is a great way to improve your jaw’s appearance while helping to make a successful dental implant.

Sinus Augmentation

The upper back jaw is always a difficult place to put an implant because there is usually not enough bone or good bone quality. To help with that, we may suggest this treatment where the sinus floor will be raised and developing bone for the dental implants to be placed.

These treatments all share the same goal, to help people feel more comfortable with their smiles and remove any self-consciousness they feel while giving them greater dental health. If you have any questions or concerns, meeting with Dr. Jayne is the perfect time to discuss them and gain comfort in your dentistry options.
